ASSISTANT DIRECTOR  PROGRAM

School2Stage’s Assistant Director Program is back, after our  class of 2019 have sucessfuly graduated with their very own shows at the Judith Wright Centre! For our 2020 applicants, we boast a brand new, revised program developed to establish, shape and propel young aspiring directors. Giving them the tools, platform & skills through workshops, hands-on experience and finally their own graduating show, the program aims to create new generations of talented, innovative creatives with ideas molded to present entertaining, exciting and engaging theatre pieces for all audiences.

 

COST: $450 or a payment plan of $38.20 per month.

AGE BRACKET: 18 - 25 years


PROGRAM LENGTH: January - December (12 months).

INCLUDES:

Fortnightly Workshops With School2Stage’s Core Staff and Industry Professionals 

  • Script writing & script analysis

  • Performance Techniques

  • Rehearsal Planning and Running

  • Basic technical & Lighting skills

  • Marketing & Sales techniques

  • Staging Skills

THREE Assistant Directing Opportunities With A Professional Director

  • Youth Week Project in April 

  • Two School2Stage Seasons at their own venue BackDock Arts

    • June Season 

    • September Season

 

Your Own Show & Season At A Professional Venue

  • 30 minute show

  • Frequent feedback sessions and dramaturgy
