Amanda is a Queensland based theatre practitioner, performer and teacher. Her current practice explores the power of drama based practice as a tool for communication, rehabilitation and social change. She has trained for many years as a performer and thrives on making theatre collaboratively as well as teaching and facilitating arts and play based practice.

Captain Starlight at Lady Client Children’s Hospital Starlight Children’s Foundation - April 2016 - Present Captain Starlight is the super hero who captures an ill child’s imagination and creates a healing environment filled with entertainment, fun, laughter and joy.


Facilitator of Maroon Festival School’s program (2017) Co-facilitating years 3-6 school aged children in dance and drama workshops celebrating Queensland and encouraging positive mental health.


La Boite Theatre Company Actor’s Masterclass teacher - April/May 2016 A weekly 3 hour intensive workshop for aspiring actors aged 18 and over. This workshop was lead by me twice in 2016.


Speech and Drama Teacher at New Farm State School (2015 -2016) This role required weekly after school lessons in speech and drama to be run with students from grade prep - 3 and grade 4 -6.


Shakespeare School’s at University of Southern Queensland (Feb 2016) Facilitated a group of year 12 students in a 3 hour workshop based around understanding and performing Shakespeare.


SpeakUp Studio Drama Teacher (2012-2013) Taught weekly after school drama classes with prep and year 1 students at Bardon State School.
